The Holy Spirit Sisters (also called the Apostolic Life Community of Sisters, or ALCS) were founded in Germany in 1950 by Fr. Bernhard Bendel. Today they're an international Catholic missionary community with sisters serving in Europe, the United States, Africa, India, and the Philippines. Their mission is to "bring Christ, God's incarnate love, to all spheres of life" through practical service.
